- Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt LIVE
- Bokeh Edwards
- Worm Disco Club
Bringing you the heat and the voodoo grooves, we have Wolf Müller aka Jan Schulte - Music, here in Bristol with a suitcase full of instruments to produce his wonky & wonderful sounds, alongside the seriously capable drumming talent that is Niklas Wandt.
The Salon des Amateurs resident shall be familiar to many of you, whether having released or performed under his birth name as Jan Schulte, as Bufiman, Montezumas Rache, Young Wolf (alongside Young Marco) or as the character that is Wolf Müller.
Prolific in his productivity as ever, Jan, alongisde Niklas are imminentally about to release an album of sonic exceptionality on the Growing Bin Records imprint.
Inspired by a trip to Borneo to explore and play traditional Indonesian instruments and listen to the sounds of the Island environment, the resulting melding of German bongo funk, Indonesian tribal rhythm's and neon 80's inspired electronic textures make for a highly intoxicating pot of aural brilliance, which you shall get to witness as our headline act this night.
Warming up for for the main act we shall have a set from the man behind the Bokeh Versions label.
We essentially see what Miles Edwards and Jan Schulte do as two arms off the same branch. There's a penchant for looking back to look forward, with inspiration coming from the obscure and the overlooked, a platform for adventurous bordering on bizarre sounds, but never losing sight of the right amount of groove and character to make it FUN.
Through the music being released on Bokeh Versions, Miles has been creating almost a new musical landscape, but one not rooted in one particular niche style, age group, fad or place, but one which is for the open ears of both yesterday, today and the future.
ROOM 2: DIRTYTALK DJS vs THE KELLY TWINS
Yes. Little introductions needed here. 6 DJs, lots of quality grooves and moves.
With the amount of parties these guys have under their belts, we are delighted to be able to hand them the control of Room 2 all night, for a social setting of salacious styling.
The Venue: We're gonna keep this one under wraps ;) We think it's a space with huge potential and one that will suit this event, with a good smoking area and plenty of room to play, dance and mingle.
All we can say is that it's BS2 and we're most certainly looking forward to hosting our first all-night event here.
For more information on the artists and to purchase ticket follow this link and check out the Facebook event.
A limited run of exclusive Super Early/Early Birds are available via Headfirst Bristol priced £5/8. After that it's £10 for general release - these shall also be available in person at Idle Hands (from next week).
First performed in 1953, Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett is an undeniable classic of 20th century literature.
wo hungry, battered drifters wait by a dead tree. They might have been here yesterday. And they might well come back tomorrow. Unless Mr Godot arrives first. Which he might. If they’re lucky. Which they don’t tend to be.
65 years old, but as fresh and urgent as ever, Waiting for Godot is Samuel Beckett’s iconic play about the struggle for purpose, the power of friendship and the hunt for a pair of decent boots.

“His Trippy R&B Jams are equal to Marvin Gaye’s and Curtis Mayfield’s, but somehow more contemporary sounding – closer to D’Angelo meets DJ Shadow” – David Byrne, Talking Heads.
Shuggie Otis was compared, at the age of 15, with Jimi Hendrix and the great Kings of blues guitar (B.B. King, Albert King). Shuggie went on to make two expansive, genre-defying, deeply curious albums, 1971’s “Freedom Flight” and 1974’s “Inspiration Information”. The records, essentially crafted as a one-man band, floored Sly Stone, gave The Brothers Johnson their most enduring hit (“Strawberry Letter 23″) and predated the stylistic synthesist Prince by half a decade.
Shuggie Otis, son of the rhythm and blues bandleader Johnny Otis, was a guitar prodigy, cutting sessions with Frank Zappa and Al Kooper whilst still a teenager. AGMP are proud to present the legendary Shuggie Otis in concert with his full USA band.
